Hi Doringkloof Residents !
Lack of landfill/dumping sites and illegal dumping
Within the whole of the Tshwane municipal area there are many residents, business owners and other ratepayers who are experiencing tremendous frustrations and problems related to the lack of suitable landfill/dumping sites and the consequential illegal dumping that takes place.
Our understanding is that the municipality does not intend opening any new dumping sites in the near future, primarily because of a lack of suitable land and because the acquisition of such land, if available, was not catered for in the municipal budget.
To discuss this important matter and to propose solutions, a meeting has been initiated by Councillor Christa Spoelstra, who will attend the meeting together with a senior municipal official.
Date: 10 November 2015
Time: 18h00
Place: Irene Primary School, Irene
The meeting is directed at all interested and affected parties such as :
- Residents and property owners
- Chamber of Commerce
- Estate managers
- Business owners (especially in the construction, maintenance and garden services industries)
- Business complex managers
- Ward Councillors
- Residents and Home Owners associations
If you have any ideas or suggestions on how to resolve this issue, or require additional information, please attend the meeting.
Regards,
Civic Affairs Portfolio (CAP) Committee
