CRIME SCENE

This past week we had two reports of apparent drug deals taking place in Doringkloof.  This type of activity is not welcome in Doringkloof.  We can take steps to rid ourselves of this scourge is we as residents report them over the radio every time we see such activity. (See the report below).

A vehicle was stolen off the pavement outside a residence in Kiaat Street during the week.  Please do not leave a vehicle alone on the pavement, even for a minute or two, unless you are keen to claim on your insurance.

Finally, a big thanks to all those residents who are giving up of their time to patrol the streets, particularly at night and especially during the grave yard shift.   Please notice that we have not had any crime at night since they started.  Let us all give them a good show and if you would like to be part of the action, phone Simon now at 084 326 1906

DRUG BUST WHEN A COMMUNITY WORKS TOGETHER

With the information reported by the residents the authorities were able to arrest a drug dealer in Doringkloof during the week.  According to a spokesperson this was only possible with the accurate information that diligent residents gave to the Neighbourhood Watch and then passed on. It is very important to gather as much detail as possible including the type of vehicle, registration number and time seen to give authorities the best chance to catch these perpetrators.

Thank you to all involved in this effort.
