The DNW committee asked me to organize a meet & greet table on Saturday morning 26 March from 09:00-11:00 at the Doringkloof Mall to introduce us to our residents.
We started setting up at 08:30 in front of the empty shop next to the biltong shop and after some ‘meet en pas’ with the various banners, we were joined by Pam from the DRA Care, Christo from the DRA, Petro, and Janet from FoDS, Vandy from the Radio Coordinators and Mollie from the Patrollers. I represented the DNW and Gerhard also popped in for a while on behalf of the DNW. Luckily, Pam had discovered a stack of A4 colour-printed Doringkloof maps, which were quite popular amongst visitors to the table. We handed out flyers, maps, brochures, and booklets and demonstrated the radios, and emphasized their importance in the safety of our neighbourhood. We had quite a bit of interest and new residents and radio trainees also visited us. We enjoyed some delightful coffee from Darling Delights deli. It was a good meet & greet with great cooperation and participation from all, thanks to all who assisted me with this.
Regards
Maryke Kruger
