Good afternoon, Friends

It came awfully close to snowing in Doringkloof this week!  Wouldn’t that have been fun!

These chilly days make for great walking weather, and it has been wonderful to see so many people in the Doringkloof Spruit.  I have attached a photo of the area below Karin Street bridge towards the N1 highway, it looks so lovely.  The grass is cut, and the bushwhackers have been terribly busy cutting back and spraying the bamboo, so visibility is good.  Thank you, Brett, Stefan, and Marcus for this arduous work.

Please join us for a SNAKE TALK

Mike Correia, our Nature Conservation go-to guy, is retiring at the end of this month.  We are incredibly sad to say goodbye to him after 15 years of dedication to our Friends group and the Doringkloof Spruit. Mike, we wish you all the best in this new season of your life. We really appreciate your cheerful and conscientious attitude to work.  We could always rely on you.  You certainly made our meetings fun; we will miss you!

Take care and keep warm.

Regards
