Updating the property valuation roll 2020

Dear Tshwane Resident.

The City of Tshwane has undertaken the process of updating the property valuation within its borders for the period of 1 July 2020 – 30 June 2024. the City of Tshwane hereby extends an invitation in terms of Section 49(1)(a)(ii) of the Local Government: Municipal Property Rates Act, 2004, (Act No. 6 of 2004), to any Owner or interested person who wishes to lodge an objection in respect of any matter in, or omitted from the Roll, to do so in the prescribed manner as referred to in the attached Notice.  It is each Owner or interested person’s own responsibility to make an objection to a specific individual property and not against the Valuation Role itself. The Valuation role determines the municipal value of the property and has a direct implication on the property rates that will be paid from 1 July 2020 – 30 June 2024.
